Don Bosco College, Tura, in collaboration with the NCC unit, organised a tree plantation drive on 27 May 2025 within the college campus. The initiative was led by the Principal, Fr. Januarius S. Sangma, along with the PI Officer of NCC Tura, the NCC CTO of the college, and the cadets.

The Principal planted the first sapling, followed by the PI Officer, CTO, and cadets. With the monsoon rains setting in, the timing was ideal for the plantation.

Later, on 29 May, in the Principal’s office, some cadets were given saplings to plant and care for at home, under the motto: "Ek ped maa ke naam" The joy and enthusiasm on the faces of the young cadets reflected their commitment to protecting and nurturing the environment. The drive highlighted the college’s dedication to promoting ecological awareness and responsibility among students.
