International Workers’ Day Celebration at Don Bosco College, Tura
 

On the auspicious occasion of International Workers’ Day, Don Bosco College, Tura, held a special celebration on 1 May 2025 to honour and appreciate the tireless service and commitment of its office and support staff. The event took place in the Bosco Hall at 3.00 pm, where all the office staff assembled for a short yet meaningful programme followed by a tea party.

The celebration commenced with a warm welcome by the Principal, who expressed his heartfelt appreciation for the invaluable contribution of the staff to the life and growth of the institution. In his address, he commended their unwavering dedication, punctuality, and their consistent readiness to go beyond their regular duties to ensure the smooth functioning of the college. He also highlighted the spirit of homeliness and cooperation that the staff have helped foster within the college community.

Following the Principal’s address, Fr Louis offered special wishes and heartfelt prayers for the support staff. His words were filled with gratitude and blessing, acknowledging the essential role they play in the day-to-day operations of the college.

The celebration concluded with a common song sung in unison, symbolising unity, appreciation, and the spirit of togetherness that defines the Don Bosco community. The gathering was then treated to a grand tea party, providing an opportunity for everyone to relax, interact, and celebrate the occasion in a warm and joyful atmosphere.

The May Day celebration at Don Bosco College, Tura, served as a beautiful reminder of the dignity of labour and the importance of recognising and honouring the contributions of every individual in the institution.
