An orientation programme on Mental Health Awareness was held on 7 April 2025 at Don Bosco B.Ed. College, Tura. The session took place in the college conference hall and was led by the Resource Person, Mrs Balmuri K. Marak, Deputy Controller of Examinations, Meghalaya Board of School Education, Tura.

Known for her extensive experience and expertise in mental health and wellness, Mrs Marak delivered an insightful presentation through PowerPoint, making the session both informative and relevant. She highlighted the growing importance of mental well-being, especially in today’s educational context.

The Principal welcomed the gathering especially Mrs Balmuri and presented her a bouquet of flowers and a Garo pandra. The teachers participated with attentiveness, engaged actively in interactive mental games, and posed meaningful questions, reflecting a deep interest in the subject. A well-arranged lunch preceded the session, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere.

The session concluded with a vote of thanks by Fr John Paul Tirkey, Vice Principal, who acknowledged the resource person's valuable contribution and the participants’ enthusiastic involvement.
