Parents' Meeting - Evening Shift – Don Bosco College
A Parents' meeting for the Evening Shift Students of Don Bosco College was held on 29 March 2025 at Bosco Hall, attended by parents, faculty and students. The meeting commenced with a welcome address by Mr Tengsuang, the evening shift coordinator, followed by a prayer song by Ms Noknasa and an opening prayer by Fr Principal.
In their talks, the faculty members Mr Tengsuang and Mr Sengrik highlighted the positive progress of students, while stressing areas for improvement, such as academic performance, discipline, and attendance. Mrs Ringse Rani and Mrs Nokme emphasized the importance of consistent study habits, dress code, and regular attendance.
To further strengthen communication and engagement, faculty members will introduce whatapp group designed to keep parents informed about their children's academic progress, attendance, and important announcements. Parents were encouraged to use the mobile app regularly to stay updated and actively participate in their child's education. The app will serve as a bridge between the college and parents, ensuring better monitoring and support for students.
Fr Principal encouraged parents and faculty to foster a positive environment at home and in college, ensuring they remain actively engaged in their children’s education and well-being. He stressed the value of monitoring friendships and habits, especially regarding alcohol and drugs. He encouraged the parents to monitor the gainful use of money by the children and the importance of guardian to those who stay in rented houses in Tura.
A parent expressed gratitude for the opportunity to connect with others and discussed the importance of following up with students at home. The meeting concluded with a group photo and a snack, providing an informal setting for further discussion.
The event was successful in promoting collaboration between the parents, students, and faculty, with strong positive feedback and a commitment to continued support for the students’ growth and success.
