Inauguration of the Academic Year 2024

The inauguration of the academic year 2024 at Don Bosco College, Tura, was held with great enthusiasm and nearly full student participation on 13 September 2024. The event, which took place in the college amphitheatre, was graced by the Chief Guest, Dr Meena A Sangma, an esteemed academician and Principal of the College of Teacher Education, Rongkhon, Tura.

In her address, Dr Sangma emphasized the importance of resilience, commitment, and academic excellence, inspiring the students to strive for success. She cautioned the gathering about the menace of substance/drug abuse in and around Tura city. She also had the honour of felicitating seven outstanding student achievers, who had excelled in various fields, including academics and sports. Each achiever was presented with certificates, cash awards, and mementos, which were met with resounding applause from the gathered students and teachers.

The event underscored Don Bosco College's commitment to nurturing talent and recognizing achievements, setting a positive tone for the academic year ahead.
