English Enhancement Course Held at Don Bosco College
Don Bosco College organized an English Enhancement Course as part of its summer break package from 26th to 31st August 2024, offering students a valuable opportunity to improve their English proficiency during the holidays. The course focused on deepening students' understanding of grammar, enhancing public speaking abilities, expanding their collection of idioms and vocabulary, and incorporating daily reading practice. Through these activities, participants were able to refine their language skills in a comprehensive and engaging manner.
The resource persons for the program were Fr. Bromio Ch. Marak, Vice Principal of Don Bosco Junior College, Tura, and Fr. Anthony A. Sangma, Youth Animator from Bosco Mount, Rongkhon, Tura. A total of 22 students actively participated in the course.
The program commenced with a welcome address by the Principal, who warmly greeted the resource persons and students, wishing them success. He congratulated the students for making the valuable decision to utilize their holidays in a meaningful way, stating that "the youth build their future today by actively developing themselves for the challenging world that awaits them."
The concluding ceremony was graced by Fr. John Paul Tirkey, Vice Principal, Fr. Louis Arimboor, Administrator, Mr. Hilarius Ch. Sangma, Office Staff, and the two resource persons. Certificates of participation and appreciation were distributed to the students and resource persons. The participants expressed their gratitude for the program and heartily thanked the resource persons for the insightful sessions.
