FAREWELL PROGRAMME, 2024.
The college organised the integrated farewell programme in honour of the Principal of the college Rev Fr Bivan Rodriques Mukhim SDB, along with the farewell of 6th Semester students. The heart warming event began with a solemn gathering in the college amphitheatre. The event was marked by gratitude and nostalgia as students and teachers came together to bid adieu to the dedicated principal and the outgoing students. The programme commenced with the Don Bosco College choir leading the college Anthem, offering respect and homage to the College. Vice- Principal of the college, Fr. John Paul Tirkeywelcomed the gathering to the occasion.
In a bid to express gratitude to the Principal for his service to the College, Teachers and students, felicitation was done as atoken of love and admiration. The students enthusiastically performed in various cultural activities. Taking a trip to the memory lane, the IQAC Coordinator of the college Dr. Barbara S Sangma recollected the memories of the past and shared the working experience with the Principal. In her speech, Dr. Barbara mentioned that Fr. Bivan was one of the best Principal the college have had highlighting his immense and dedicated contribution to the college. Her addressed was also directed towards the outgoing students, she motivated the outgoing students to choose their path wisely and never to go astray.
Dr. Uma Roy Bhowmick, one of the senior teachers of the college addressed her speech to the Principal, thanking him for the service and dedication to the college. Representing the student community, Harsh Vardhan Chetry, President of SWA expressed his gratitude to the Principal and also to the outgoing students.
Addressing to the gathering Rev Fr. Bivan Rodriques Mukhim, the Principal reminisce about himself taking the charge of the Principal, he humorously mentioned that he was the Vice –Principal of the college for only 30 minutes. He mentioned that the real foundation of the college is the Teachers thus glorifying the teaching faculties. He concluded the speech by thanking the staff and the students, and also urging the students to get higher percentage of attendance and to continue to strive for excellence.
The farewell ceremony was a poignant and memorable event celebrating a Principal who had left an indelible mark on the college. It was a day filled with laughter, tears, and a deep sense of gratitude. The entire college came together to bid farewell to the beloved Principal and the outgoing students leaving everyone with cherished memories that will be treasured for years to come.
