NCC Cadets lead the way in "Swachhata Hi Seva" Campaign.

In line with the nationwide campaign for a garbage-free India, known as the Swachhata Hi Seva campaign, the NCC Unit of Don Bosco College in Tura took the initiative to lead a Cleaning Drive on Sunday, the 1st of October, 2023. This event saw an enthusiastic participation of approximately 70-80 NCC cadets, who came together to contribute their efforts towards a cleaner and more sustainable environment.

The theme for this significant drive was aptly coined as "Ek Ghanta Ek Tarikh," emphasizing the notion of dedicating just one hour to the cause of cleanliness. The NCC cadets, donned in their uniforms, took to the college premises at 1:00 P.M. on Sunday afternoon, armed with brooms, gloves, and bags, all set to make a tangible impact on their surroundings.

The Swachh Bharat Abhiyan Day witnessed a wave of fervor and determination among the cadets. They combed through the college premises, diligently collecting and disposing of litter, ensuring that no nook or cranny was left unattended. Their efforts exemplified a strong sense of responsibility towards maintaining a cleaner, healthier, and more vibrant environment.
