In a bid to foster stronger bonds between parents, students, and faculty members, Don Bosco College, Tura, organized an insightful Parents' Meet for Bachelor of Commerce students in Semester I, III, and V. The event, spearheaded by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and the Students-Teachers-Parents Appraisal Committee, aimed to provide a platform for open dialogue and exchange of ideas.
The event took place on September 9, 2023, at the DBCTE Hall, commencing at 9:30 AM with the arrival and registration of attendees. The session officially began at 10:00 AM, marked by a prayer song performed by the students, setting a harmonious tone for the day.
Mr. Habul Das, Associate Professor and Assistant Coordinator of the Students-Teachers-Parents Appraisal Committee, extended a warm welcome to the attendees, highlighting the importance of the collective effort in ensuring a thriving learning environment.
Dr. Arindam Ghosh, a member of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell, took the stage to elucidate on the significance of Quality Assurance and the role of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) in maintaining educational standards.
Fr. Bivan Rodriques Mukhim, SDB, the Principal of Don Bosco College, Tura, took the opportunity to share an overview of the College's vision and mission, highlighting the institution's commitment to holistic education.
The baton then passed to Dr. Sabindra Barman, Head of the Department of Commerce, who shared insights about the department's initiatives and goals. His presentation shed light on the concerted efforts made by faculty members to provide a conducive learning environment.
Mr. Andrew B Sangma, Assistant Professor in the Department of Commerce, delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all attendees for their active participation.
The event concluded with a lively photo session, providing a memorable moment for all attendees. Refreshments were served, allowing for informal interactions and networking.
