Teachers’ Day Celebration Brings Don Bosco College, Tura Together in Gratitude.
On a sunny morning that radiated warmth and appreciation, Don Bosco College in Tura came alive with heartfelt celebrations in honor of Teachers' Day. The entire college community, comprising staff and students, gathered on September 5th, 2023, to express their gratitude to the dedicated educators who shape their academic journeys.
The festivities commenced at 10:15 am, with a sense of anticipation hanging in the air as NCC cadets ushered the esteemed teaching faculty to the celebratory venue. Thousands of eager students had gathered, eager to convey their appreciation for the tireless efforts and unwavering commitment of their mentors.
Fr Bivan Rodriques Mukhim, the Principal of Don Bosco College, Tura, delivered three key messages. Firstly, he extended his warmest wishes to the faculty on the occasion of Teachers' Day. Secondly, he emphasized the extraordinary fortune of the College in having such dedicated and hardworking educators. Lastly, he acknowledged the privilege of the students to have teachers who nurture not only their academic growth but also their personal development. He urged all the students to rise to their feet and give a resounding standing ovation to honor the teaching staff.
Dr. Barbara S. Sangma, the IQAC Coordinator, conveyed her heartfelt gratitude on behalf of all the faculty members for the impeccable arrangements made by the students. The collaborative efforts of students and teachers shone through, creating an atmosphere of warmth and appreciation.
The student body also took the opportunity to express their gratitude directly. The highlight of the day was the highly anticipated basketball match that pitted the Teaching Staff against the Students. In a spirited display of teamwork and sportsmanship, the students emerged victorious, adding an extra layer of excitement to the celebrations.
