DB College Celebrates Bosco Jayanti with Reverence and Gratitude.

In a heartfelt observance, Don Bosco College, Tura marked the auspicious occasion of Bosco Jayanti on August 16, 2023. The commemorative event, held at 09:45 am in the assembly area, paid homage to St. John Bosco, the visionary educator and founder of the Salesian order.

The ceremony commenced with a poignant gesture as the Principal, Fr. Bivan Rodriques Mukhim, adorned the statue of St. John Bosco with a garland. The significance of the occasion was further accentuated by a moving prayer service conducted by Fr. John Paul Tirkey, the Vice Principal, and a team of dedicated teachers.

Dr. Barbara S. Sangma, shared a brief but profound reflection on the enduring relevance of Don Bosco's principles in the context of the present world. She emphasized the honor and privilege of being a part of the Don Bosco family and encouraged everyone to take pride in their association.

A touching moment came as the teaching staff members and students came forward to offer their floral tributes to the statue of Don Bosco. This act symbolized not just a gesture of respect, but a heartfelt recognition of the values and teachings espoused by the visionary saint.

The atmosphere was filled with reverence as the students united their voices in harmony, singing the hymn dedicated to Don Bosco titled "We Thank You O Lord for Don Bosco." The lyrics echoed their appreciation for the profound impact of his teachings on their lives and education.
