Principals of colleges in Garo Hills discuss the National Education Policy 2023
In a significant development for the education landscape in Garo Hills, the Principals of various colleges in the region gathered on 20th July 2023 at the Conference Hall of Don Bosco College to discuss and deliberate on the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2023 during the upcoming Academic Session 2023-24. The meeting, chaired by Shri. T. D. Marak, Principal of Tura Govt. College, saw an enthusiastic participation from educators committed to enhancing the quality of education for students.
The session commenced with a short prayer, led by Smt. Neritha Ch. Momin, Principal of Tura Christian College (TCC), seeking blessings for their collective endeavor to shape the future of education in the region. Following the prayer, Fr. Bivan Rodriques Mukhim, Principal of Don Bosco College, extended a warm welcome to all the members present and laid out the purpose of the gathering.
The discussions during the meeting centered around key areas of the NEP 2023, including the promotion of multi-disciplinary learning, emphasis on skill development, integration of technology in education, and fostering research and critical thinking among students.
