Career Guidance by Indian Air Force Inspires Students of Don Bosco College - Tura

Tura, 14th July 2023 - Students of Don Bosco College in Tura were given a remarkable opportunity to gain insight into the career prospects offered by the Indian Air Force during a Career Guidance session held on campus. The event, organized in collaboration with the District Administration of West Garo Hills District, aimed to enlighten students about the numerous possibilities available in the field of aviation.

The event commenced with an inspiring address by Wing Commander Shri Sanmugam, the Commanding Officer of the 11 Airmen Selection Centre in Guwahati. Gathered in the college amphitheater, the students listened attentively as Wing Commander Shri Sanmugam emphasized the significant role that airmen and women play in nation-building and defense. He captivated the audience by recounting the rich history of aviation in India, proudly highlighting the Indian Air Force's status as the fourth-largest air force in the world.

Wing Commander Shri Sanmugam encouraged the students to consider a career in the Indian Air Force, underscoring the multitude of benefits and opportunities available to candidates. He particularly emphasized the importance of young boys and girls from the region aspiring to become officers in the esteemed organization. By doing so, they could contribute not only to the nation's security but also to its overall development.

The esteemed commanding officer was warmly welcomed by the Principal of Don Bosco College, Fr Bivan Rodriques Mukhim, and the college faculty. The presence of the Indian Air Force personnel provided a unique and valuable experience for the students, allowing them to gain firsthand knowledge about the various career paths offered by the Indian Air Force.
