The College was abuzz with excitement as the institution successfully organized an orientation programme for its incoming students. The event aimed to familiarize students with the college's environment, academic programs, and provide them with a platform to interact with faculty members and fellow students. The theme for the programme was "Navigating New Horizons: Unleashing Potential, Embracing Growth," emphasizing the college's commitment to nurturing students' talents and helping them flourish.

The orientation programme took place over three days, accommodating different groups of students. On June 22nd (Thursday), Commerce and Science students attended the event, followed by Arts (Day Shift) students on June 23rd (Friday), and Arts (Morning and Evening) students on June 24th (Saturday). The venue for the event was the Don Bosco College Higher Secondary Section Auditorium, where students arrived promptly at 9:30 am.

The programme commenced with a prayer and words of welcome by Fr. John Paul Tirkey, the Vice Principal of Don Bosco College. Fr. Tirkey's warm address set a positive tone for the day's activities, encouraging students to embrace their educational journey with enthusiasm and determination.

Fr. Cletus Sebastian, Director of DBSTI Tezpur, led an engaging ice-breaking session, creating an atmosphere of camaraderie and friendship among the students. Through interactive exercises and games, students were able to break the initial barriers and connect with their peers, fostering a sense of unity within the college community.

Following a well-deserved break, the students reconvened for another motivational program delivered by Fr. Cletus Sebastian. His inspiring words resonated with the attendees, leaving them inspired and motivated to embark on their academic journey at Don Bosco College.

The afternoon session began with Dr. Barbara S. Dr. Sangma's informative session shed light on the college's commitment to quality education and continuous improvement.

The heads of departments took the stage at 2:00 pm to introduce their respective departments to the eager students. This session provided valuable insights into the courses and disciplines offered at Don Bosco College, enabling students to make informed decisions about their academic pursuits.

To further acquaint the students with the college's ethos and facilities, Fr. Bivan Rodriques Mukhim, the Principal of Don Bosco College, addressed the gathering. He shared the college's vision, mission, and core values, emphasizing the institution's commitment to holistic development and academic excellence.

The final session of the day was the valedictory function, where students had the opportunity to provide feedback on the orientation programme.
