Philosophy Department tours Sikkim

A study tour to Gangtok, Sikkim was organized by the Department of Philosophy under the guidance of Assistant Professor Friangky M Marak and Assistant professor Westerley R Marak on the 6th- 10th of April 2023. A total of 31 students were accompanied by 3 teachers from Philosophy and Geography Departments.The Students and teachers left Tura at 8:30pm on the 6th of April 2023 and reached Gangtok, Sikkim at 1 P. M on the 7th of April 2023.

On the first day, students were taken to MG Marg to visit several markets around Gangtok and to experience the Gangtok Ropeway. On the second day, the teachers and students visited JN Road, 15 Mile to Tsomgo Lake to experience the beautiful landscape and snowfall and on the same day, the group also visited Tibetology, Gonjanang monastery, Takshi view point, Bhakthang Falls and Banjakari Falls . The visitation to these different places of Sikkim has enhanced the knowledge of students about the historical, cultural and religious heritage of the state.

The students left Gangtok at 10 A. M on the 9th of April 2023 and reached Tura at 5 A. M on the 10th of April 2023.
