The Toppers speak
A session with the university toppers of NEHU Exams 2022 was organized by the department of Zoology and Botany, Don Bosco College, Tura on 21st July 2022 at the Bosco Hall Room No 105 of the college. The objective of the session was to appraise the current batches on how to go about in their semesters ahead of them. The session was conceptualized to make the students aware of some do’s and don’ts in their three year journey in the college so that they come out with flying colors at the end.
The session was attended by the principal, faculty members of both the departments, the students from the bio science stream of all odd semesters and the university toppers of the college. The opening remarks were put forward by the Principal who at the very onset congratulated the students who topped the university rankings. He also emphasized that this time seven position holders were there from the college and out of that five were from Science stream. He urged the ongoing semester students to listen to the achievers of how they had prepared for the three years to have come out successfully.
The speeches by the toppers were very encouraging and one of them, Shri Rakesh Saha who was the 7th Rank holder in zoology honors shared that it is very important to get involved in various activity of the college other than regular studies to bring about the holistic growth of one self. Sangma, another topper from the Botany department told the students that it is very important to be serious from the 1st semester itself. Amrit Rabha a student in Botany Hons was of the opinion that one should be up to date with his or her studies and not keep it for the last moment. Even at least if one studies for one hour seriously in a day and keep abreast of the day to day events of the classes taken then the chances are there that the students would do well in theexams.
At the end of the programme Shri Toijam Sanjeev Lyngdoh from the department of Zoology compiled the messages made by the students for the benefit of the students in the ongoing odd semesters. He also had a word of thanks to Principal to have allowed the event and the participants who were patiently listening. The students interacted with the toppers after the programme.
