New Academic Session Inaugurated

The new Academic Session of the college was inaugurated on 15^th July 2022. Hon’ble Deputy Commissioner Shri Swapnil Tembe IAS was the Chief Guest at the Inaugural Programme. Rev Fr Januarius S. Sangma, Provincial of the Salesian Province of Guwahati was the Guest of Honour.

While speaking at the Inaugural programme, the Chief Guest asked the students to be responsible individuals. He said that education can transform us and that transformation takes place when one is able to contribute to the society. He added that the main purpose of education is service to humanity. He narrated the life story of his father who contributed to society’s growth through teaching the less fortunate students in the evening time in his home.

The Chief Guest wished that the students become more conscious of the responsibility to the society and the people around. He gave away the mementoes to the students who got ranks in the recent concluded university examinations. Later he also declared the Academic Session 2022-2023 opened.

Rev Fr Januarius S Sangma, the Guest of Honour wished the students the best in their new academic year. He said that the students should work towards fulfilling their dream and aspiration. He pledges full support to the college and the teaching faculty.

The Principal Fr Bivan Rodriques Mukhim welcomed the guest and read out the report of the last academic session. Dr Barbara S Sangma, IQAC Coordinator spoke on the occasion.

Around 45 students who have been performing well at the last academic session were felicitated on this day. The students of the college performed prayer dance and sang a welcome song.
