Geography Dept. excursion to Sikkim
An excursion to Sikkim was organized by the Department of Geography headed by Assistant Professor Jason Jyrwa & Assistant Professor Ksanbor Kharkongor on the 25th to the 29th of June 2022. A total of 18 students were accompanied by 7 other teachers from various departments. The Students and teachers departed from Tura at 8pm on the 25th of June 2022 and reached Gangtok, Sikkim at 2pm on the 26th of June 2022. On the first day, the students were taken to MG Marg and they visited various markets around Gangtok. On the 2nd day, students along with the teachers visited 10 sightseeing spots around Gangtok which includes Tashi view point, Lhasa falls, Plant Conservation, Ganesh Tok, Flower Rich Park, Flower Exhibition Centre, Chorten Dudrul, Tibetology, Handicraft Handloom and Gangtok Rope way. On the third of excursion, students and teachers visited Chhangu Lake, Babamandir and Nathula Pass. The Students along with the teachers departed from Gangtok at 10am on the 29th of June 2022 and reached Tura at 7am on the 30th of June 2022
