World Environment Day in Tura Science Center, Tura

The World Environment Day was organised by the State Council of Science, Technology and Environment (SCSTE) in collaboration with Meghalaya Science Society, Tura Chapter on 6^th June 2022 in the Tura Science Center, Tura. The Deputy Commissioner of West Garo Hills, Shri Swapnil Tembe was the chief guest in the programme and was accompanied by the programme officer of SCSTE, Shri D R Wahlang and vice president of the Meghalaya Science Society Shri Subodh Saha. The programme was conceptualized by Dr Madhusudhan Saha, Associate Professor of Don Bosco College, Tura who is also the Secretary of the society.

The day long event had various types of programmes like Painting and Quiz competitions for participants of different schools of Tura. The keynote address was given by Dr Biswajit Paul, associate Professor, Don Bosco College, Tura.

The programme ended by sapling plantations done by the DC and other dignitaries.
