Online Essay Writing Competition on Elections for Social Change

The District Administration, West Garo Hills in collaboration with Electoral Literacy Club, Don Bosco College, Tura organises an Online Essay Writing Competition on the Topic ELECTIONS FOR SOCIAL CHANGE (Songsarni dingtanganina seokbo / seokani) for College Going Students of West Garo Hills District.

The competition was organised as part of the celebrations of National Voters’ Day 2022. The winners of the essay competition will be given a certificate and cash awards by the District Administration in an even to be held on 25^th January 2022 at DRDA Hall, DC Office, West Garo Hills District, Meghalaya.

The competition was held on the following criteria:

1. Only original essays will be considered for the competition. Previously published essays are therefore excluded.

2. The essay should not be longer than 1500 words. However essays shorter than 400 words are not encouraged.

3. A student can participate either English or Garo category and not in both categories.

4. The Essay is to be written in A4 Size Paper only. The Essay is to be Submitted Online (Either PDF or JPEG) after filling in the required Personal Information.

5. All participants will be awarded an E-certificate of participation by the District Administration. Names of the winners will be published on District Administration Website in the third week of January 2022. Separate intimation will also be sent to each of the winner.

6. The winners will be asked to show their original photo EPIC card at the time of receiving of the prizes.
