NCC organises seven-day camp in the college campus
The NCC Unit of 41 Meghalaya Battalion, Shillong organised a seven-day camp at Don Bosco College, Tura from 8th January to 14th January 2022. The main motive of this camp was to instill within the cadets the necessary drill practices, firing training, map reading etc. The other motive was to help build their personality and to boost their confidence through organized activities such as public speaking and debate which the cadets took part after their lunch break.
On the first day of the camp, Fr. Bivan Rodriques Mukhim, Principal, Don Bosco College, delivered a speech and wished the cadets who were attending the camp. Thereafter the classes were taken accordingly. On 12th January 2022, the National Youth Day was observed. Some cadets spoke on the life and works of Swami Vivekananda.
The camp was planned and organized by the 41 Meghalaya Battalion under the supervision of some PI staff from Shillong. The classes were taken by the three PI staff, namely Sir. H. P. Limbu, Sir. Jit BDR Thapa and Sir. J. R. Reddy, who came from Shillong for the purpose.
CTO of the College, Ms. Cherimchi T Sangma took active part in organising the speech and debate programs as per the routine. The cadets expressed their satisfaction and joy while attending the various programmes and classes during the camp. The cadets even expressed their desire to get more similar opportunities in the future.
