Cleaning of the Garo Labour Corps Memorial Monument
On the 75th Independence Day Celebration occasion, the NCC Unit of Don Bosco College, Tura, participated in the cleaning up of the Garo Labour Corps Memorial Monument at Babupara, Tura. The Cenotaph was constructed to mark the safe arrival of the members of the Corps and in fond memory of those who died and performed noble works as recruits of the 69th Garo Labour Corps in France during the First World War. A total of 13 NCC cadets undertook the task of cleaning the Cenotaph and its surrounding under the supervision of Senior Wing Caretaker Officer Cherimchi T Sangma.
