Session on UPSC CSE Examinations held at Tura

The West Garo Hills District Administration in collaboration with Don Bosco College, Tura on 13th March 2021 conducted a session on strategy to prepare for UPSC CSE 2021 Examination. About 70 young aspirants attended the programme which was animated by Shri Jagdish Chelani IAS (2018 Batch) the SDO of Dadenggri Block, West Garo Hills and Dr. Dara Aswaghosh IPS (2018 Batch).

The idea behind the session is to prepare the students for competitive exams and especially how to crack UPSC examinations. The resource persons encouraged the students and motivated them to give the best through hard works and perseverance. Both Shri Jagdish Chelani and Dr Dara Aswaghosh shared their success stories. “There is nothing that we cannot do, we need the will power and the dedication to fulfill the dreams” Shri Jagdish said. He continues that if ‘IAS/ IPS is possible for them then why not for the students who wanted to be one.’

Dr. Dara Aswaghosh in his talk said that even though his field is different, he still managed to become IPS due to his perseverance and hard work. “I have been consistently preparing for the service and even though it took me some year to crack IPS I never give up,” Dr Dara said.

The session was planned by the Deputy Commissioner, West Garo Hills Shri Ram Singh IAS along with Shri Jagdish Chelani and the Science faculty Don Bosco College, Tura in a meeting held on 11th March 2021 at the Conference Hall of the college. 

Dr. Arindam Ghosh, IQAC Coordinator Don Bosco College, Tura was also present for the orientation programme and spoke to the budding aspirants. Fr. Bivan Rodriques Mukhim, Principal Don Bosco College, Tura welcomed the resource persons and the students.
