Don Bosco Students pledge to maintain a tobacco free campus

The NCC Unit of Don Bosco College Tura on 31st May 2018 observed World No Tobacco Day. The cadets displayed placards in the college campus to create awareness among the students. Fr. Bivan Rodriques Mukhim, Principal Don Bosco College spoke on the harmful effects of consuming tobacco. He elaborated on the health hazards of tobacco abuse.

The Principal while speaking to the students said that despite the statutory warning printed on cigarette packets, people pay no heed to such warnings. He warned the students against such abuse and sought their cooperation to maintain a tobacco free campus.

Sir Sengphrang A. Sangma, the NCC CTO assisted by Sir Shiv R. Marak and Ma’am Topa Mollick, ANO organized a poster campaign for the students. Other non NCC students also participated in the programme.

The NCC cadets took a pledge to have zero tolerance to tobacco abuse.
