A Mega Seminar on Civil Services by DBA

DBA (Don Bosco Academy) A centre for Advanced Learning in collaboration with ALS (Alternative learning System) Pvt. Ltd, New Delhi conducted a Mega Seminar on Civil Services and other competitive exams on 23rd March 2018, at Don Bosco College, Tura, West Garo Hills, Meghalaya State.
The main aim of the Seminar was, to inspire and motivate the young minds of Garo Hills in particular and the region in general to join Civil Services. Educational institutions of Higher Secondary and Colleges of Garo Hills were invited and about 200 students including teachers and heads of the institutions participated in the seminar.
Mr. Ritesh Handa, CEO, ALS, New Delhi, a premier coaching centre for Civil Service stated that DBA will facilitate the daily streaming of classes for ALS coaching centre, by creating infrastructure of modern technology and digital learning platforms. It was also mentioned that this DBA Tura is second digital learning centre after Shillong in Meghalaya and 12th in the North East. It is hoped that talented students from rural and economically weaker section and tribal community of Garo Hills can avail of this opportunity by attending these classes, interacting with qualified and experienced faculty of ALS for Civil Service at Tura itself.
Mr. Jojo Mathew, Chief Executive Director, ALS, New Delhi, informed that complete course would be of eleven months with specialized professional approach and systematic methods of teaching. ALS would provide quality materials, conduct interactive session guidance and counseling, discussions, work interviews besides regular live classes.
Among other distinguished speakers Shri. Ashok K. Tigidi the first IAS Officer from the Garo Hills and Chief Advisor cum Mentor, DBA, Tura, Shri. Cyril D. Diengdoh, IAS , DC of South West Garo Hills, Ampati , Shri Swapnil Tembe, a young and energetic IAS, SDO of Dadenggre, Shri. Ram Singh , IAS, DC, of West Garo Hills, Tura emphasized the key roles played by IAS officers in contributing and planning the implementation for the Socio Economic development of the country.
In the last Session, ALS Staff distributed the admission forms along with the prospectus including the fee structure.
Rev. Fr. George Plathottam SDB, Director, DBC welcomed and encouraged everyone for approaching and contacting the offices for admission procedures. He also said that there would be formal inauguration before the commencement of coaching session starting from June, 2018.
