On 23rd February, an interactive session was held at Bosco Hall of Don Bosco College Tura between the student-aspirants of the ongoing coaching class and the officers of the State Bank of India (SBI) and NABARD. The SBI and NABARD officials, particularly those representing Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, shared insights and motivated the students on career opportunities in banking and exam preparation. Students actively engaged with the officers, gaining valuable advice on study strategies and career planning.
The coaching class, initiated by the Re.mikkang Youth Club, Tura in close collaboration with Don Bosco College Tura, and sponsored by the Hon’ble Chief Minister and the District Administration, West Garo Hills, Tura, was a step towards empowering youth, especially from marginalized communities, with the necessary tools for future success. It started on 8th February 2025 and is set to conclude on 27th April 2025, focusing on SSC, banking, and other competitive exams. A total of 85 students are participating, with classes regularly being held on Saturday and Sunday afternoon and evening.
