Visit of Jesus Youth of Don Bosco College Tura to the Chapel of Bishop Orestes Marengo and Missionary Tombs

On 17 November 2024, 25 Jesus Youth members, accompanied by Fr Januarius S Sangma, Principal of Don Bosco College, visited the Chapel of Bishop Orestes Marengo, one of the first missionaries to India and Garo Hills. The group organized a beautiful prayer service at the chapel, reflecting on the significant missionary work and the lasting impact of Bishop Marengo and other missionaries.

During their visit, the Jesus Youth also honored the missionaries who passed away after serving in Garo Hills, praying at their tombs in a moment of reverence. They had the opportunity to interact with future priests and brothers at the seminary, fostering spiritual connections and support for their vocation.

The visit concluded with the community generously serving the group with delicious snacks, making the experience both spiritually enriching and enjoyable.
