The past week-end had opportunities galore for High School students enthusiastic about a bright future. A Talent Search was held Saturday 1st June 2019 at Don Bosco College, Tura for Science and Mathematics students of Class IX and Class X.

The one-hour written test taken by 120 students of Class IX and 60 students of Class X was conducted by Avanti, an initiative of IIT and Harvard Business School Toppers.  Successful students are offered attractive fee waivers on course fees under the Scholarship Scheme, with the Topper getting 100% fee waiver, Top 2 to 5 – 75% fee waiver and so on.  Lowest on the rung, even Top41 to 50 will benefit by a 10% fee waiver.

ALS – Avanti Learning Centre has collaboration with the Don Bosco Academy, in grooming young people for the civil services through satellite education.  Don Bosco Academy is part of the value-added services of Don Bosco College, Tura. What is left to be seen is whether their enthusiasm matches their efforts.
