Pre-Christmas Celebration in College
“I’ll Be Home for Christmas’ is one of the favourite songs during Christmas. Truly Christmas is a time when all near and dear ones gather together to share love and joy. Don Bosco College is a family. However, it is a family whose family members are from different parts of the State and even from outside the state. Since not everyone would be ‘home’ in the college to celebrate Christmas, a Pre-Christmas celebration was organised on 15th December 2018 by the college. The staff and students the college came together to celebrate the Pre-Christmas and exchanged best wishes for Christmas with each other. The celebration was held a day before the college closes for the winter vacation.
Fr. Bivan Rodriques Mukhim, Principal in his message said that the message of Christmas is joy and there is joy in sharing. He asked the staff and students to share the energy, time with the poor. He reminded them that Jesus came into this world to serve and give His life with the most unfortunate ones.
The students sang Christmas Carols and Santa Claus entertained the gathering with singing and dancing. Dr. Barbara S. Sangma gave the message of Christmas and said that ‘Christmas is a state of mind.’ She, on behalf of the college, wished everyone a Merry Christmas and a Joyous New Year.
The Pre-Christmas programme concluded with a dance by the students.
