Industrial Visits of B.Com 6th Semester Students

Thirty two (32) B.Com VI Semester students went on industrial visits to Kolkata, Pune and Mumbai from 6th January to 19th January 2019. The students were escorted by three teachers of the department. The students left Tura on the morning of 6th January and took the train from Bongaigaon to Kolkatta and proceeded to Pune.

In Pune the students stayed in the Pune Institute of Business Management (PIBM), Pune campus and attended daily motivational sessions and visited industries in and around the city. Some of the industries that the students visited were Lavasa Group of Industries, Navayangan Society, Mapro Company, Bisleri Company and others. Interactive sessions were conducted by Prof David of PIBM. Others who animated the students were Prof Madan Palak Sharma, Mr. Raman Preet, Chairman of PIBM, Mr. Suhash, Executive Director Bisleri and others.

On 14th January, the students proceeded to Mumbai and visited the Don Bosco International School at Matunga and the Don Bosco Technical College at Kurla and other places of interest. They visited the Gateway of India and the Taj Hotel in Mumbai.

The students are grateful to the management and the department for taking the initiative to have the industrial visit.
